Who is responsible

When you write to us

The contact form records what you enter: your goal, your budget range, your company name, your work email and, if you fill them in, your timeline and your context. We add the language, the page it was sent from and the date.

To block automated submissions, we also keep an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address (never the address itself) and your browser’s technical identifier.

This data serves one purpose only: replying to you and following up on your request. It is never resold or used for mass prospecting. The legal basis is your request itself (pre-contractual steps) and, for protection against abuse, our legitimate interest.

For how long

Requests are kept for three years after our last exchange, then deleted. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

Who has access

The Hilarious team, and the technical providers that run the site, each for its own task only:

Hetzner Online (Germany)

hosts the site.

Neon (servers in Frankfurt)

hosts the database where requests are stored.

Brevo (France)

sends the email that tells us about a new request.

Google Workspace

our email service, which receives that email.

Google Analytics and Meta

only if you accept, see below.

Cookies and measurement

Nothing is stored without your consent, with one exception: your choice itself, which has to be remembered so we don’t ask again on every page.

Your choice (hilarious-consent)

stored in your browser for six months. Always active.

Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*)

audience measurement: which pages are read and where visits come from. Up to two years. Only with your consent.

Meta pixel (_fbp)

advertising: showing our work on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited the site. Three months. Only with your consent.

Outside the European Union

Google, Meta and Neon belong to US groups. When data leaves the European Union, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

At any time you can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, object to it, receive it in a readable format, and withdraw your cookie consent with the “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page.
